I’m struggling with back pain/hip pain/injury recovery/etc. - can yoga help me?

Yoga is a fluid format of exercise designed to improve muscle strength, increase flexibility, expand your range of motion, balance and mental focus. For most, yoga is a really positive form of exercise with countless physical benefits. However, if in doubt, it’s important to consult your doctor first - and understand the limits of your body before practicing. Never do anything that hurts!!

I’m not flexible - so yoga’s not for me!

NOT TRUE! Yoga is about more than flexibility. Yoga requires strength, balance, and mental focus - as well as flexibility. Most of us come to class only mildly able to do one of these things. By practicing yoga, we get better at all of the above. Missing out on yoga because you don’t believe you’re flexible is like saying, “I’m sick, so I shouldn’t visit the doctor.”

Can I practice if I’m not in the UK?

Of course! We welcome all time zones and believe yoga should stretch across borders. If we don’t offer a yoga class that suits your timezone, please message, and we’ll see what we can do!

Am I ready for an intermediate level class?

If you’re asking this, chances are yes! If you’ve previously practiced yoga, or feel comfortable/unchallenged in our beginner classes, you should try our regular vinyasa flow. Remember you don’t have to do every pose that’s offered. Take what you need, leave what you don’t. And remember not to take yoga too seriously. Even just sitting and breathing still counts as yoga.
